Bob Brown was appointed as the first full-time Managing Director for the Business Council in October 2007. Prior to his appointment, Mr. Brown was Vice Chancellor of Governmental, Community and Diversity Affairs at The University of New Orleans. Mr. Brown has been active in community affairs in the New Orleans area for many years. He has served as Chairman of the Board for the Preservation Resource Center, New Orleans Metropolitan YMCA, Legacy Donor Foundation, the Institute of Mental Hygiene, House of Ruth, and Family Service of Greater New Orleans.

He currently serves on the board of directors of the Public Affairs Research Council of Louisiana and as Vice President of the Board of Directors for the Louisiana State Museum.

Mr. Brown was selected as a Community Hero and Olympic Torch Bearer for the 1996 Olympics and was The Times-Picayune Loving Cup recipient for 2007. Brown received his Bachelor’s Degree (magna cum laude) from Park College, Missouri and his Master’s Degree from Pepperdine University in Malibu California.

Jenny Hunter was hired as the Director of Operations for the Business Council in November 2011. Due to the Business Council’s expanding body of work, Jenny was hired to support task force activities. Jenny comes to the Business Council after working as a Vice President of Business Development for Greater New Orleans, Inc.

Prior to her time in the non-profit world, Jenny managed the fine wine division for Glazer’s Companies of Louisiana, and over the years she worked in various capacities throughout the wine industry. She is a founding member of the Board of Directors of Benjamin E. Mays Preparatory School and serves currently as Vice Chair and a member of the development committee.  She has served on the Board of the New Orleans Wine and Food Experience and the World Trade Center of New Orleans’ International Business Committee.

Jenny received her Bachelor’s Degree from Louisiana State University and her Masters in Business Administration from the University of New Orleans.  She and her husband, Chris, have a new daughter named Caroline, and Jenny is a step-mother to Katherine and Patrick Hunter.
