The Business Council of New Orleans and the River Region today announced that it will donate $50,000 to the New Orleans Crime Coalition for an intensive training and intervention effort in community policing that will target five violent areas in the city. The announcement was made by Gregory Rusovich, chairman of the Business Council, and Michael Cowan, chair of the New Orleans Crime Coalition, at a press conference at the Eighth District Police Station in the French Quarter.
